On this tour, you will experience Bonaire's Donkey Sanctuary - a habitat created to rescue donkeys needing extra care, food and water. You will interact with the donkeys throughout the drive as they regularly "say hello" and attempt to put their noses through the car window! You can also purchase a few carrots at the sanctuary to feed a few lucky donkeys while on your visit.  At the sanctuary, you will also see a few other things. The Special Care Unit is an area of the sanctuary where we will learn about the services provided to bring a distressed donkey back to health. You can also visit the garden, where you will see local plants, tortoises, and iguanas.  Climbing the watchtower will give you a great view of the entire sanctuary and an excellent photo opportunity.
