This hike connects two of the tallest peaks of Madeira Island. This is a stunning route, which includes tunnels and a few stretches with steep rises and descents, offering fabulous views of the island’s central massive. Near the Pico Ruivo shelter is the track PR 1.2, which leads to the Achada do Teixeira.
