Hidden gem of Skye, it’s the only white sand beach of the island. Long walk from the parking, last bit requires some scrambling on a narrow muddy path.

What an amazing, secluded beach with it's gorgeous white sand and turquoise, crystal clear sea. It was like looking at somewhere in the Caribbean when we arrived above the bay. We reached the beach on a falling tide and it's worth checking timetables to be sure you have some beach to see. At high tide there's very little sand exposed, so a low or falling tide might be best to make the most of your stay. The walk starts at a small parking area at the end of the road just beyond Aird. Arrive early if possible and park carefully as the area is actively used by farmers. The beach is around two mikes away on a rather hilly, rugged track. Some make the trip in less than an hour, but we took much longer on the hot day we set off. As you come towards the last stretch of the hike, there's a sign just before a gated area to direct you to scramble up and over a steep rocky outcrop before reaching the top path. Sturdy shoes or boots are well advised. After the relatively strenuous walk, you're finally rewarded with the amazing views of the bay and beach below. Well worth planning a trip here, but take plenty to drink, as you'll definitely need it by the end. There aren't any shortcuts, so you'll have the same journey back to your car ! Highly recommended.

To ukryte tajemnice Skye'a. Wolno uderzające zwierzęta, głównie krowy i owce.

This is Skye's hidden secret. The carpark is small and gets filled up quickly. We stayed over night and the light pollution is non existent. The stars were so bright. Honestly never seen anything like it in the UK. Also no midgies which is a great bonus. The track/road leading to the carpark is small with overtaking spots. The path to the beach is uneven so substantial walking shoes are advisable. There are free roaming animals cows and sheep mainly. The farmers request to keep dogs on leads or under close control. Becareful though as sheep bring ticks. The path has a number of high points with amazing views. With a quarter of a mile to go the path turns left by 90 degrees. You come off the hard path and go up a steep scramble. After that its pretty boggy so again bring sensible footwear. But when you reach the top you are rewarded with the most perfect little white sand beach. There were a few washed up jellyfish but the water is so clear. Little perfect cove that is protected from the wind. 2 thumbs up from me 2 thumbs up from my wife 2 paws up from our puppy 1000% would recomend

Do not recommend, long up and down trek hiking boots and good weather recommended. Very steep and challenging walk on a rocky track, takes 30-50 minutes each way. Limited parking at aird of sleat but if you open the gate theres some extra space on the left. Beach itself is lovely surprisingly busy for such an isolated place. Beautiful sandy beach.

Beautiful small sandy beach. The water is gorgeous. Be careful of the jellyfish swimming close to the shore, there are too many of them, you'll find lots on the shore too. To get here, it is a long walk, 35 min. The path is hilly and tiring, but great exercise. Easy to miss the turn to the right on the path to get to the beach as no signs, so watch out. You don't want to go nowhere. I highly recommend it but be prepared and bring lots of fluids and snacks for the hike to the beach and back to the carpark. The carpark is very small and busy so good to come early to avoid being disappointed.
