Afternoon Multnomah Falls and Gorge Waterfalls Tour

3 godzin
Darmowa anulacja

Millions of years ago, during the formation of the Cascade Mountain Range, lava and other pyroclastic matter flowed west from what would be the Cascades all the way to the Pacific Ocean, creating a thick shell of basalt rock that covered Western Oregon. Then, during the Pleistocene Ice Age, roughly 15,000 years ago, water from the Lake Missoula Flood carved out the Columbia River Gorge as hundreds of cubic miles of water, ice, rock and mud rushed from present-day Montana to the Pacific Ocean. Explore the beauty of the canyon walls and rock formations, breathtaking waterfalls and awe-inspiring vistas that make the Columbia River National Scenic Area one of the Seven Wonders of Oregon. Our enthusiastic guides will introduce you to the most amazing places in the Gorge, while providing a comprehensive narrative of this spectacular landscape and its transformative history.

8 Bardzo dobry

Plaża Indyjska to piękne nadmorskie miejsce, które zdecydowanie warto odwiedzić. Gdy wjeżdżasz do okolicy, od razu witają cię wspaniałe zieleń - paprocie rosną po obu stronach drogi, a wysokie drzewa tworzą naturalny baldachim nad głową. To naprawdę spokojne i malownicze wejście.

Indian Beach is a beautiful coastal spot well worth the visit. As you pull into the area, you’re immediately greeted by gorgeous greenery—ferns line both sides of the road, and towering trees provide a natural canopy overhead. It makes for a really peaceful and scenic entrance. The road getting in is definitely narrow, but it’s perfectly manageable, and I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth the road surface actually was—better than expected. We parked in the main day-use area and had no trouble finding a spot, but it’s worth mentioning that coming early is a good idea. By the time we left, parking was starting to fill up, and it can get busy. From the parking area, we walked down to the beach and explored the tide pools off to the left. Tide pooling here was fantastic, with lots of starfish and other sea life—it was easily one of the highlights of the visit. As a bonus, we spotted a mother elk with two calves right as we arrived, which was an awesome sight to kick off the day. Next time, we’re planning to explore more of the hiking trails since the area looks like it has a lot to offer. Overall, a great experience and one we’ll definitely return to.

Amazing place but please BEWARE. Today, my Frenchie was on his leash when he was attacked by another dog that was off leash at the beach. My daughter asked if she could pet their dog to which they said yes and they asked if my dog was friendly. Before my daughter could pet their dog and before I could answer that yes, my dog is friendly, my dog smelled theirs and theirs snarled and jumped on mine. My dog didn't fight back, he was pinned to the ground while theirs was biting at his neck. I understand that sometimes dogs don't get along but the disturbing part was that while this dog had mine pinned to the ground attacking him, the owners did nothing. I had to use my legs to try to push their dog off mind and when he wouldn't let go, I had to pull their fur and physically pull him off my dog. The owners didn't try to help, didn't say sorry and didn't even ask if my dog was okay. And didn't put their dog on a leash even after all that, just petted him and walked off to go play like nothing happened. Everyone around was horrified and asking if my dog was okay and kind of shocked this happened, especially in front of my daughter and many other kids. My dog is pretty shaken up, he has puncture wounds on his neck and once I put him in the car, I had a difficult time coaxing him out. Please be wary if you see these people and this dog I posted. I took these about a minute after their dog attacked mine ... They were not at all concerned and went on playing like nothing happened. They do not put their dog on a leash or control their dog despite him being VERY aggressive. I did alert the park and the person I talked to said they were going down to the beach to talk to the owners to control their dog but judging by their utter lack of concern, I feel like the owners of this dog will let this happen again. I've visited this beach many times and it's absolutely gorgeous and a lot of fun so I hate to have anything bad to say but I want to be sure this never happens to anyone else.

Magiczne miejsce! Aby dotrzeć do parkingu, przejeżdżasz przez piękny las i minąłem trzy jelenie. Sama plaża jest piękna i przestronna, otoczona leśnymi klifami. Zauważyłem nawet bielika szybującego wysoko nade mną! Przybyłem podczas niskiego przypływu i zbadałem baseny pływowe oraz odsłonięte skały, aby znaleźć rozgwiazdy, ukwiały, kraby pustelniki i inne!

A magical place! To get to the parking lot, you drive through a beautiful forest and I passed by three deer. The beach itself is beautiful and spacious, bordered by forested cliffs. I even spotted a bald eagle flying high above me! I arrived at low tide and explored the tide pools and the exposed rock faces to find starfish, sea anemones, hermit crabs, and more!
