Wako Beach was closed today as they were doing some kind of construction. Haven't been to this beach before but I wasn't disappointed. It's really quiet here. There was plenty of parking, easy access down the stairs to get to the beach. There were not too many rocks either, so walking barefooted was a convenience. Strongly suggest bringing sunscreen... Even a few hours here, you'll burn 😂. I'll definitely come back here in the future.
Found this beautiful beach by accident. This small secluded public beach sits in the middle of a neighborhood with limited parking, but it's definitely worth getting there early to make sure you would get a parking spot. Theee is definitely quit a few stairs to get down to the beach, but well worth it.
A Hidden gem as they say. Plan to arrive early for the small parking area (first come first serve) but worth the wait. Follow the signs in water area for specific sections that you can / cannot place your things. Overall, I loved it!
Beautiful beach. Low key (not many people). The water was warm (close to 80 F) in August. Smallish parking lot. Lots of stairs. Port-a-potties. No changing facilities or faucets for rinsing off. We had a great time with our kids (ages 1-6).
Cherry Beach has a great shoreline with lots of sand and only minimal rocks! The beach itself isn't giant, but the view of the lakeshore in either direction stretches quite far. There is a small overlook, but if you traverse down the stairs, there is plenty of beach from which to catch the sunset. Parking is a bit tight, so I recommend walking or biking if you can when it's a busy time.
