Continuing on to Poulnabrone Dolmen, one of the most ancient religious sites in Ireland at 5800 years old, we make another short stop of approximately 10-15 minutes. We then stop in the quaint fishing village of Doolin to enjoy some lunch for around 45-50 minutes (lunch is NOT included in the ticket cost). After that, we arrive at the Cliffs of Moher where we have a stop of 2 hours of free time. This is the highlight of the day with ample time to walk the cliff edge and enjoy one of the most incredible natural sites in the world! Once finished, we return to Galway via the Coast Road with spectacular views over the Aran Islands and Galway Bay, returning to Galway city centre at 18:15.

The walk takes approximately 3.5 hours along a gravel path and finishes at the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre where a taxi ride back after the walk to Doolin village is included The trail is an easy walk, it requires a basic level of fitness and a good head for heights and is 8km long.

If you want to catch a trophy Pike – Lough Corrib is the place to do it! Pike fishing on Lough Corrib is ranked very high internationally. In Fred Buller’s famous book “The Doomsday Book of Mammoth Pike” very many of the large specimen pike mentioned were taken from Lough Corrib, the largest lake in the Republic of Ireland. Anglers go on the trail of the trophy pike on Lough Corrib from the middle of July onwards to the middle of December. Your guide has invaluable information for angling on the Corrib. Several methods of angling are used to catch pike. Trolling – driving the boat slowly with the bait/lure fishing behind the boat, spinning – fishing from a stationary boat with baits/lures and dead-Baiting- fishing with a dead natural bait (usually Perch, Roach, Herring Eel) using a float. This method of angling is best when there is enough wind to make the boat drift.

In Fred Buller’s famous book “The Doomsday Book of Mammoth Pike” very many of the large specimen pike mentioned were taken from Lough Corrib, the largest lake in the Republic of Ireland. Anglers go on the trail of the trophy pike on Lough Corrib from the middle of July onwards to the middle of December. Your guide has invaluable information for angling on the Corrib. Several methods of angling are used to catch pike. Trolling – driving the boat slowly with the bait/lure fishing behind the boat, spinning – fishing from a stationary boat with baits/lures and dead-Baiting- fishing with a dead natural bait (usually Perch, Roach, Herring Eel) using a float. This method of angling is best when there is enough wind to make the boat drift.

This unforgettable day tour departs Galway at 9:00 AM, travelling by coach along the scenic Wild Atlantic Way and through the rocky limestone landscape of the Burren to the charming village of Doolin. If you want to catch a trophy Pike – Lough Corrib is the place to do it! Pike fishing on Lough Corrib is ranked very high internationally. In Fred Buller’s famous book “The Doomsday Book of Mammoth Pike” very many of the large specimen pike mentioned were taken from Lough Corrib, the largest lake in the Republic of Ireland. Anglers go on the trail of the trophy pike on Lough Corrib from the middle of July onwards to the middle of December. Your guide has invaluable information for angling on the Corrib. Several methods of angling are used to catch pike. Trolling – driving the boat slowly with the bait/lure fishing behind the boat, spinning – fishing from a stationary boat with baits/lures and dead-Baiting- fishing with a dead natural bait (usually Perch, Roach, Herring Eel) using a float. This method of angling is best when there is enough wind to make the boat drift.
