There are no crowds at this beach, but there are four whales. The presence of whales is actually more enjoyable than having people around.
It's an incredible spot, but make sure to bring everything you need because there are no toilets, water, or showers. Access is limited to 4WD vehicles only. There weren't many people around when we camped by the inlet, and the beachfront was absolutely stunning.
We camped on the west side of Pallinup river, and it's definitely only accessible by 4WD. The track to get in and out with an off-road camper is quite challenging, so it's not recommended for those who are easily scared. However, it's a quiet and peaceful spot, except for the presence of march flies. It's definitely not crowded, so make sure to bring all the necessary supplies.
The entrance from South Coast Highway is quite lengthy. After traveling 30km, the red dirt road transitions into smooth white sand, which can be easily prone to getting stuck, but the beach itself is definitely worth the effort.
This beach is located approximately 100 kilometers from Albany, and having a 4x4 vehicle would be beneficial for reaching it. It is common to spot whales and their calves leisurely swimming just a few meters away from the shore during whale season. Additionally, there are pleasant camping areas on both sides of the entrance to the Pallinup Estuary. This beach is perfect for activities such as canoeing, fishing, surfing, whale watching, and camping.
