Our Connemara Day Tour from Galway offers a choice of 3 hour main stop: Option 1. - 3 hours in the Connemara National Park. Option 2. - 3 hours in the Kylemore Abbey and Victorian Walled Garden.

Departing at 12:00 noon from Galway, you will travel in comfort through one of the most scenic landscapes in Ireland; the lunar-like Burren. Walk, explore and wonder at the ageless beauty of this extraordinary vista and take in the beauty of the Cliffs of Moher, one of the top 10 natural sites in the world. You will receive free entry to the Cliffs of Moher and have a full 2 hours to enjoy leisurely walks along the coastal pathways & the eco-sensitive Visitor Centre where you can experience the Atlantic Edge, a virtual reality cliff face adventure. We then make a lunch stop at the quaint fishing village of Doolin for approximately 45-50 minutes. We also visit Ballyreen, where you can walk along the limestone Burren landscape before returning to Galway using the Wild Atlantic Way route alongside the edge of the world-famous Galway Bay, one of the most beautiful coastlines in Ireland, stopping for a photo along the way before arriving to Galway at approximately 18:45.

Driving along the coast of Clare, witness the power of the Atlantic Ocean as it battles the coastline. Board the ferry in Doolin for Inisheer, the smallest and nearest of the Gaeltacht Aran Islands. Keep an eye out for local bottlenose dolphins that occasionally follow the ferry. On Inisheer, explore ancient castles, churches, narrow lanes, stone walls and deserted white sand beaches.  The return ferry takes you on a guided scenic cruise beneath the spectacular Cliffs of Moher. Returning to Doolin, you go to the top of the Cliffs of Moher where you can take a stroll along the Cliffs. Departing the Cliffs you return to Galway.

Departing from Galway at 10:00 AM, you begin your fully guided tour of Connemara & Cong at our first photo stop near the scenic Inagh Valley. Our main stop is the enchanting Kylemore Abbey & Victorian Walled Gardens. The admission fee for Kylemore Abbey is charged separately at the discounted price of €14 per person (tickets are purchased in cash from your driver). Admission includes entrance to the Abbey, the shuttle bus to the walled gardens and entry to the Neo Gothic Church. There is also a restaurant where you can purchase a hearty lunch and a gift shop for souvenirs. After this visit you explore the wilder Connemara regions visiting Killary Fjord and experience the stark beauty of the valleys of Connemara through the hidden Lough Nafooey route. Arriving in Cong village, you will enjoy a 45-minute break to inspect the ruins of the Old Abbey and take a walk in Cong Woods, wander the streets made famous by the Quiet Man movie before returning to Galway by approximately 18:00

We depart Galway at 10:00 and begin your tour by exploring the Burren region. The first stop is Dunguaire Castle and Kinvara, where we take approximately 15 minutes to view the outside of the castle. Continuing on to Poulnabrone Dolmen, one of the most ancient religious sites in Ireland at 5800 years old, we make another short stop of approximately 10-15 minutes. We then stop in the quaint fishing village of Doolin to enjoy some lunch for around 45-50 minutes (lunch is NOT included in the ticket cost). After that, we arrive at the Cliffs of Moher where we have a stop of 2 hours of free time. This is the highlight of the day with ample time to walk the cliff edge and enjoy one of the most incredible natural sites in the world! Once finished, we return to Galway via the Coast Road with spectacular views over the Aran Islands and Galway Bay, returning to Galway city centre at 18:15.

The Cliffs of Moher Express service is a non-guided shuttle service from Galway direct to the Cliffs of Moher. Spend approximately 2 hours exploring on your own. Departing Galway at 8am and 12pm, this service is ideal for those looking for an independant adventure. Admission to the Cliffs and the eco- friendly visitor center are included in your ticket!

On your journey South to the Cliffs of Moher, listen to your expert driver/guide share the history of the Burren region, an area of exposed limestone terrain, jagged sea-side cliffs and rare flora. Explore a bay-side castle and discover the karst landscape inside the Aillwee Cave before arriving to the Cliffs of Moher. The day time experience's are held at my beautiful cosy home in Kilcolgan. I also run some of the experiences at my cafe, Kate's Place, in Oranmore, Orantown centre.
