At our meeting we will walk through the streets of Santa Margherita, appreciating both the artistic and scenic beauties, until arriving at the boarding for Portofino. Once you reach the iconic village surrounded by colorful houses and elegant shops, we will stroll to Brown Castle to enjoy the view from the Lighthouse. Free time available and then return together to Santa Margherita for 2.15 pm. In case of bad weather you can reach Portofino by public transport. Possibility to request private tours.

Departure at 9 am from Genoa cruise terminal, arrival at the harbor of Santa Margherita at about 9:45 am, from where, in about 20 minutes, you can reach Portofino by boat, visit of Portofino and return by boat to Santa Margherita at 12:30, tour of the village of Santa Margherita and lunch in a typical trattoria. After lunch, through the pass of La Ruta, overlooking the Mount of Portofino, we reach Camogli by car, visit of the picturesque old town and at around 3:30 pm we return back to Genoa along the coastal road, with a stop to the center before to back on board. Though your English-speaking driver can offer commentary while driving you around, they are not allowed to do so outside of the car. If you would like someone to walk the sites with you or give commentary within major landmarks, private guides are available for hire at an additional cost. The driver will be happy to make suggestions about the best places to eat throughout the day.

Since 2019, we are the first to offer Vernazza an experience dedicated to preparing pesto in the mortar, combining cooking, territory, conviviality, and tasting. You will learn to prepare pesto by hand, using selected ingredients. The experience takes place in a typical Cinque Terre cellar, with stone and wood, reminiscent of the atmosphere of old Vernazza. 12:30 - PESTO CLASS We will start with wine, focaccia, cheeses, and extra virgin olive oils. You will prepare your pesto in the mortar while tasting a second wine. The pesto will then be used to dress the gnocchi which you will eat with a third wine. We will conclude with limoncello and chocolate. 3:00 PM or 5:30 PM – PESTO SNACK CLASS After a taste of wine, you will prepare the pesto in the mortar while tasting a second wine. We will accompany it with focaccia, cheeses, oils, and a third wine. Finally, a real little shoe with bread and focaccia directly in the mortar!
