The central market is one of the best places to experience the best Mauritian food. You will find fresh, deep-fried gato pima, or chili bites. Made with soaked split peas, zingy spring onions, and green chilies, these really do pop in your mouth. Between food vendors, the group will discover the old streets of the capital why it is so rich in history and culture. Join us on the Port Louis Street Food Tour and awaken your senses! So much to see, but even more to taste!

This experience invites guests to share a moment of Mauritian family life in a peaceful rural sugarcane village in the north of the island, near an old historic sugar mill. The workshop takes place in our traditional outdoor family kitchen beside a small farm, surrounded by nature and the rhythms of village life. Together we prepare a full Mauritian meal using fresh, local and seasonal ingredients, sometimes cooking over a wood fire as many families still do. Guests participate in the cooking before we sit down to enjoy the dishes in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. Sometimes members of my family are present, adding to the warm and authentic spirit of sharing food, stories, and traditions around the table.
