Nice but not spectacular, can’t snorkel because of waves and swimming is at your own risk. Came here twice and it rain twice with no sun… at least there is a bar where you can wait inside. On a rainy day, there is no much to do or to see in La Digue.

Super nice beach. Not many people, nice to take a walk and easy to reach with the bikes (you have to go up a bit after your beach day though;-)) One of the best beaches on La Digue. Please be careful with swimming in the waves and especially the current that can be dangerous there.

A magnificent natural wonder on La Digue! Grand Anse is a stunningly rugged, unspoiled paradise. The backdrop of soft white sand framed by massive, dramatic granite boulders is breathtaking—a true spectacle of nature that you just have to sit back and admire. One of its best features is the location: from here, a short, relaxing walk through a lovely shaded forest path takes you directly to the two neighboring beaches (Petite Anse and Anse Cocos). Important tip regarding swimming: Due to strong undercurrents and high waves, the beach is generally not safe for swimming for most of the year. The only brief window where swimming is typically possible is around December and January when the ocean cools down. Even so, it is worth visiting at any time of year— watching the raw power of the waves and relaxing on the shore is an incredible experience. Highly recommended!
