This beach is so quiet and looks not so popular. If you go as a group, you will get lot of time and space to enjoy together. It's a decent beach but the roads to the destination is not developed well and there is no food options anywhere near to this. So make sure to carry enough food and drinks.
Absolutely stunning beach - great for walks and full of extremely interesting things to view and explore. There are interesting fossils to be found along the water front (best when the tide is out) and a vast majority of interesting stones and sea shells. The sea air is a delight and the overall feeling is a very calming and tranquil one. Went here for a few hours along the beach and across the cliffs and thoroughly enjoyed it. There is parking available and whilst the track getting there is not well kept its definitely worthwhile a visit. The benefit of it being a bit difficult to reach and off the beaten track is that you can enjoy some pace and quiet there. A truly great place
Very peaceful, beautiful views, lots of small fossils. Visited here with 2 x 11 year old, 1 x 8 year old & 1 x 6 year old. They all had fun & enjoyed the freedom of being able to just explore. We dipped our toes in the sea, had a picnic & found fossils, a dead thornray skeleton & lots of nice driftwood. Its more a place for nature/outdoor lovers. The beach is difficult to walk on due to the large stones so I'd recommend old trainers, walking boots or wellies or walking sandals. It would not be a great place for those with mobility limitations, very small children & babies. There is a flat stoney/grassy path/track that runs along the top of the beach that you can follow all the way to Kilve (about 2 miles). There is a small (free) parking area accessed via a rough track. Then there's a short walk down to the beach/coast path. From here you can see the imposing Hinkley building work to your right & Burnham On Sea, Brean Down, Steepholm & Flatholm & across to Wales in the distance on a clear day. There are no facilities here. This place isn't going to be for a lot of people- which is part of its charm! But if you like scambling across rocks looking for pebbles & fossils & just spending time outside definitely check it out.
Lovely beach with good views however the past 4/5 months the car park is a nightmare. The potholes are horrendous now and it has bottomed out my car causing damage
Road to the car park is pretty dicey (potholes) but great views towards Kilve and Hinkley Point. Great for a stroll.
