Your Guide will know the mountain well and will be fully qualified and insured for the activity that they are leading. You will need to be properly equipped for your day and for all possible weather. You should have the following kit. - Comfortable walking boots, preferably waterproof, that provide ankle support. - Waterproof jacket and trousers. - Socks. - Baselayers are to be worn next to the skin. (not cotton) - Comfortable walking trousers. (not jeans) - Warm mid-layers. At least two, one to wear and one as an emergency layer. - Hats and gloves. - Head torch - A small personal first aid kit. Plasters etc. - A flask and/or drinks bottle, 1L should be enough. - A rucksack. Anything larger than a 30L pack will do, and a waterproof liner - An orange emergency survival bag.

Your chance to join a group and together with your guide, climb to the summit at 1344 metres (4411 feet). A stunning 9km / 5.5 mile forest walk following the winding Water of Nevis to the dramatic Steall Falls. The route meanders through the rocky Nevis Gorge and opens to the panoramic landscape of Glen Nevis. Steall Falls is third highest waterfall in Scotland and cascades 105 meters down the rock face. In Gaelic it's called An Steall Bàn meaning "The White Spout". This iconic area is featured in two Harry Potter films. At the end of the walk, there's a wire rope bridge over the river for the adventurous! This is a private hike with Trev, your friendly local guide. The path is a little rocky and muddy in places, so he's on hand to help if needed. He's always happy to take photos! Please note that if it's not rained for a while, the waterfall won't be flowing fast.

Your Guide will accompany you up and down the Ben Nevis Mountain path. They are there to provide you with advice and information about the path and the history, and the nature of Ben Nevis. Your Guide will know the mountain well and will be fully qualified and insured for the activity that they are leading. You will need to be properly equipped for your day and for all possible weather. You should have the following kit. - Comfortable walking boots, preferably waterproof, that provide ankle support. - Waterproof jacket and trousers. - Socks. - Baselayers are to be worn next to the skin. (not cotton) - Comfortable walking trousers. (not jeans) - Warm mid-layers. At least two, one to wear and one as an emergency layer. - Hats and gloves. - Head torch - A small personal first aid kit. Plasters etc. - A flask and/or drinks bottle, 1L should be enough. - A rucksack. Anything larger than a 30L pack will do, and a waterproof liner - An orange emergency survival bag.
Group walks up Ben Nevis every Wednesday and Sunday from the start of May to the end of September. Your chance to join a group and together with your guide, climb to the summit at 1344 metres (4411 feet). Based in Fort William and only using local guides, you won't just climb Ben Nevis, you'll learn all about the mountain and the wildlife, geology and history it has to offer. The pub at the end of the path is a great place to finish the day with a well earned pint! Please note that for walks in early May winter boots, crampons and walking axes may be required if there is still snow on the mountain. This kit can be hired at an additional cost from Scottish Mountain Hire in Fort William and we will advise guests as early as possible if it will be required. For all of the walks under 18 year olds MUST be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
