Nukubati is paradise!
Absolutely everything is perfect, the location, the staff, the food, the focus on sustainability - everything has been carefully considered and exceeds all expectations.
Nukubati feels like your own private slice of paradise. It feels like you have the whole beach to yourself and when you look out across the ocean there are no other buildings, lights or noise around, it feels incredibly private, secluded and special to be there.
When we went snorkeling on the Great Sea Reef we were the only ones out there and had the whole reef to ourselves (what a once-in-lifetime unforgettable experience!)
We had a beach front bure where we could see the ocean from the bed, and the stars at night that are absolutely magical.
The food is mostly organic farm to table or fresh seafood caught from the sea, and they offer fresh juices and wellness shots like turmeric and local grown ginger if you’re looking to detox, but also have fantastic cocktails and an extensive wine menu.
They cater to all dietary requirements, they baked me fresh home made gluten free bread every day, and had a selection of gluten free desserts that were absolutely delicious.
They provide yoga mats so you can practice yoga on your own private deck overlooking the ocean or own slice of the beach, and they have an extensive library of books so you can truly unplug from technology and relax.
My massage with the beautiful Eta was divine, and the massage oil was coconut oil made from the island’s coconuts!
The strong focus on sustainability is exceptional, the resort was the first solar powered resort in the South Pacific, and uses fresh rainwater - which has been treated and tested and found to be purer than bottled branded Fiji water!
The staff make you feel like family, and the fact that there have been 3 generations of staff from the same family working there is a testament to how amazing the managers Lara and Leone are.
I cannot recommend Nukubati enough!
Stayed at nukubati with my wife, as part of our honeymoon trip, for 7 nights, a truly memorable experience.
Nukubati “ private island” gave its name justice, as we had the entire island to ourselves for 4 nights, the final 3 nights were spent with a lovely Belgium family. Upon arriving onto the island, we were greeted with a song from the staff, whilst this is the typical heart warming Fijian way, it felt nice to see every member off staff to attend the welcoming, it made us feel immediately comfortable.
The food was absolutely amazing, from breakfast through to our three course lunch and dinner, every meal was fresh and amazing. Staff were absolutely incredible, a special thanks to Emily, Saran Nina and hotel manager Gordan.
The owners Jenny and Peter were amazing, they really made it feel like home. A surreal feeling, staying at such a beautiful island, and at the same time feeling so welcomed, and feeling like the island was your own home. Was very sad to leave and definitely be back again.
