A great little gem that we love to stop for a quick and safe swim and rest. We are typically there in late July, so very few people (none on this weekday) to catch my Autistic Son's attention. He had a great time, and I had a nice break watching him in a sandy and safe area.

Relatively small, roped-off swimming area, considering how busy it felt. Given the water temperature people generally seemed more interested in playing in the sand (even late July). No lifeguard, anyway, so not really sure what the purpose was of roping it off. The sand wasn't super fine, but rather a little coarse, which the kids didn't enjoy in their water shoes. They also have a small dock anchored toward the deeper end of the swimming area, pretty much solely for jumping off of or sunbathing on. I don't recall having seen anything here resembling a restroom/outhouse/changing hut, so plan accordingly. As best as we could tell everyone just parks right along M-26 (Front St), but there's not a great deal of space between cars parked on the shoulder and cars on the road (especially when you're talking about RVs driving through town).
