Sand Bay: Närmaste stränder - 5 inom 23 km

So glad we found this place! We were looking for a place for the kids to play in the sand and have shallow water, and we found it! It isn’t a wide beach, but long enough to find your own spot. You do need to walk to a little bit. We brought our 4 and 2 year old with us and they did well. Had to carry them a little bit, but the wagon we brought to carry all of our things was perfect (needed to push it close to the water to make it easier) If you walk far enough south on the beach, you’ll find super clear water and can go really far out without going too much higher than your hips. I am not much of a swimmer and can’t remember the last time I wanted to jump in a lake, but at this location I dove right in!

This city is a nice little stop along the highway. They have Nice little beaches. Artesian well. Lots of gift shops and places to eat downtown.

This was a beautiful and sandy beach with lots to do in the vicinity. We grabbed some delicious fish tacos from Corny Fish Shed, then walked along the pier and talked to some fishermen. We watched the sunset, walked along the beach and checked out the old boats, played on the playground and filled up water jugs with the artisan well water.

Nice little beach could use more seating and a changing room. If it has a small pavilion.

This is a nice basic beach to bring the kiddos to. We were there in Aug so it was pretty warm. We have been in June and it was crazy cold.
