Barossa / Hahndorf Tours This food and wine experience showcases the boutique and the more well know wineries and gourmet culinary delights of South Australia's famous wine region - The Barossa Valley. We start with Maggie Beer's Farm Shop on this tour with 2 wine tastings at our chosen wineries and lunch at one of the wineries for the day. This is a group tour with the shared experience for the day and numbers can reach up to 30 people, which can be accommodated in a car, minivan, and bus/coach. The Kayak Tour explores the Dolphin Sanctuary and Ships Graveyard Maritime Heritage Trail, just 30 minutes from the Adelaide CBD. Here you find one of Adelaide's "secret spots", it is an area of surprising beauty. The sheltered mangrove lined creeks are home to a fascinating array of marine life, birds and the Port River Dolphins. The Ship's Graveyard is a unique feature of the area with over 20 "wrecks" to view. All this makes for a sensational adventure and kayaking is the most environmentally sensitive way to explore and interact with the dolphins. Small-groups of no more than 8 people make this a personal experience. Perfect for the whole family, enjoy an up close look at the native wildlife and wrecked ships as your guide tells you tales of this mysterious area.
After departing from our home base in the peaceful Hoffnungsthal Valley, it's time to relax and take in the gorgeous sights and surrounds as you enjoy the beautiful scenic helicopter flight northeast over Rowland Flat, home of Jacob’s Creek Winery, where some of Australia’s largest wine tanks are located. Spend some time marveling over the fact that these tanks hold up to 1.4 million litres of WINE before you get a stunning bird’s eye view of the southern end of the Barossa. Just sit back and enjoy the flight as we take you past the quaint town of Lyndoch, over the Barossa Goldfields and the Whispering Wall following up stream to the South Para Reservoirs before returning to our base via Williamstown, capturing a perfect view of the idyllic southern Barossa Ranges.
Join us on a guided kayak tour and paddle where only kayaks can go. Explore peaceful mangrove lined creeks, glide past shipwrecks and keep an eye out for resident dolphins, migratory birds and other marine life along the way. All this only 25 minutes from Adelaide CBD. Whether you’re a seasoned paddler or trying kayaking for the first time, our friendly and knowledgeable guides will ensure you feel confident and safe on the water. All equipment is provided, with tours suitable for adults and children over 10+ (Children 10-15 must be with a parent/adult in a double kayak and must be able to paddle) Participants don’t need any prior kayaking experience, and we travel at a comfortable pace to accommodate reasonable fitness levels. This is a unique and special destination and an absolute must do when visiting Adelaide. Please note departure times are varied due to tide times and it is essential that you arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time.
(Small groups tours are defined as 24 passengers or less for each vehicle used. Listed are some of the wineries we visit and we have close relationships with 40 local Barossa Cellar Doors. A good day is 4 Wineries and Lunch that is Included. Wineries are selected in advance by our driver on all shared tours. We will strive to give you the best Barossa Experience. CP Tours and Charters is ready to serve your every need where we will pick you up from your Hotel / Motel location at 8:30am and return at 5pm approx. Tours include standard wine tasting fees from wineries and wine tasting and lunch at Lamberts Estate Winery. Non standard wine tasting experiences are extra and not included in package. Private charters have the options of customer selected lunch venues and cellar door options. Arrive back in Adelaide approx. 5pm.
