变色龙别墅海滩

This place is all about location! The area is absolutely beautiful. Surrounded by lush mountains and ocean. Complete with a coral reef only 20 meters from the shore. The resort is adult only and great for relaxing. Nightly entertainment is over by 10 so the nights are quiet and peaceful. The food is good enough that nobody should go hungry. Fresh omelettes and pastries in the morning along with lots of other things to choose from. Fresh fruit was limited to only a few choices. We spent most of our days at the beach so always lunched at the beach restaurant. Grilled meat with rice, beans, fresh salad and plantain chips. Dinner buffet included fresh pork, chicken and beef, grilled while you wait. Always lots of seafood. Fresh pizza made with your choice of toppings. A variety of vegetables and loads of other sides. The 3 restaurants were no better than the buffet, just less choices. We didn’t go to the bars so not sure how those were. The beach bar and the lobby bar was fine. The lobby bar was the only place that served a good coffee or cappuccino. The resort has a water treatment system so we were able to drink the water and have ice! The pool area is lovely with lots of loungers and shade. The pool itself looked a bit green so I suspect it could have used some attention. The grounds are mature and lovely to stroll through. Being a small resort, the beach is maximum 5 minutes from anywhere. The room was very clean and comfortable. The mattresses were the most comfortable we’ve slept on, outside of our own. Our room opened to the garden where it was nice to sit and read or chat. The AC worked well but was so loud that you had to turn it off now and again to give your ears a break. The staff was all great. From the bars tenders to food service to room service, everyone was friendly and attentive. They were very appreciative of the gifts we left. We left money tips on tables etc. however, we go to Cuba again, we will give monetary tips quietly to individuals. I have to be honest because when I read reviews I like to get honest feedback, good or bad. So now for the negatives. The smell of sewage in the rooms is constant! When we arrived, I asked for another room immediately because the smell was unbearable. There was no problem getting another room but the smell was only slightly less. There was no sleeping in, because the smell seemed to be most intense in the morning. About 6:30 am, we had to get up and open the patio door. The smell lessened a bit during the day but never went away. On our sixth night, we saw the roaches! I’ve seen roaches before but these things were huge. We left the bathroom light on for the rest of that night and our last night. So, lots of good things about this place but I’m afraid the 2 negatives will prevent us from returning. This location is quite extraordinary and deserving of the updating this resort needs.

My fiancee and myself decided to book our one week vacation with the all inclusive, adult only Memories Jibacoa Resort boutique hotel in Cuba, and am I ever glad we did! What a lovely surprise it turned out to be from the time we arrived until the very day we left. Tucked into a small valley with hills surrounding, this well located resort is perfect if you are looking for peace, quiet, beach or pool time and wonderful food. The resort shuttle bus was waiting for us at the Varadero aiport and was a large, luxury bus that took approximately 50 minutes to get to the resort - a lovely opportunity to see the countryside. The service was amazing and everyone at the resort welcomed us with kindness from the front desk attendants to the waiters and waitresses. The resort itself is a bit dated, but they are trying to update and can not do enough for you. The entertainment at night was really wonderful, except the only thing I would like to mention is that the music was often TOO loud - too the point of being too much. Perhaps the music was too loud due to the need for technological advancements in their sound systems, but otherwise, the talent and the singers were incredible and engaging. As a yoga teacher, I wanted to check out the yoga, which is offered in the mornings at the gym. I had brought my own mat, and therefore didn't have to use them, as they were very worn out and quite used, but the class was lovely and gentle. I practiced on my own every morning at the Gazebo and before I knew it, I had a few friends joining me which was fun. The spa is amazing!!!! I had a pedicure and massage and again, they just couldn't do enough. What a beautiful spa to attend with every detail given to ensure a warm and inviting experience.

This place is heaven on earth. Beautiful resort and scenery. The food is great and service is probably the best I’ve ever experienced in my life. The entertainment at night is also spectacular. The resort is also so quiet and so peaceful. I did a walking tour up the mountain and the tour and tour guide was fantastic. My room was amazing as well. 10/10 and I miss being there every day since I left. But I will be back at some point in the future.

This is a lovely, quiet and well located resort if you want to visit Havana! The service was amazing and everyone at the resort welcomed us with so much warmth and kindness! We got an ocean view room and this was a great decision as I felt we had private beach access to one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen! The interior of the room was a bit dated but it was not an issue since we were barely in the room anyways. The food was standard quality food for Cuba - we stuck to the hot foods which were omelette, pizza, and fries. There was pasta but it could have been a bit more flavourful. We also carried instant noodles with us and a portable kettle which was helpful. The evening program was really great - the band and the host of the music program were all so enthusiastic and lively! They truly love their work and you can tell the passion in which they perform and do their job!

One of the best experiences of my life. The friendly and honestly just enthusiastic personnel made us feel welcome from the first moment. The service was great and the hosts were very helpfull, the rooms where clean and very nice and the diner options were all excellent. We selected this resort on purpose because it is different from all the Varadero resorts. Its more calm, authentic, friendly and close to the nature. Staying at Memories Jibacoa Resorts is a treat on its own, let alone when you go out and explore everything that Cuba has to offer.
