Unfortunately, my experience at the beach in Cienfuegos was far from pleasant. The city itself appeared rundown, dirty, and smelly, and the beach only reinforced this impression. I was disappointed to find that the locals seemed unconcerned with keeping the beach clean and instead left their waste and filth to accumulate on the sand and in the sea. It's a shame that such a beautiful location is marred by this lack of care and consideration. If you do find yourself in Cienfuegos and are hoping to visit the beach, I would recommend taking a boat from town and walking along the scenic coastal road to the hotel. This way, you can avoid the crowds of locals who don't seem to value the cleanliness of the beach. Once you reach the hotel, you'll be able to enjoy a peaceful and pristine stretch of sand.
