Pretty, incredibly soft sand, calm water. Bring cooler. No food options when cruise ships are not there. Only Anna's at the end and stay far away from that place. Terrible service and it will only frustrate you. Sandles doesn't allow outsiders to eat and drink. Loungers are cheap to rent $10 a pop. Drinks are worthy and cheap at the Water Sports place $6. But no food anywhere! The vibe is okay with he Sandles people walking about. Maybe rougher on cruise day?

A really lovely beach! Beat the crowd by going there early in the morning (between 6-9AM is ideal) or around sunset. That way, the cruise ship people have left and it’s just locals and regular-degular tourists hanging about so it’s a really chill vibe. A few vendors said gave me a courteous hello with their offerings but none of them harassed me. I parked my rental on the street near Sandals and walked along to the other end of the beach—a nice 20-30 minute stroll. I’m a solo traveler and I felt super safe! Be open to chat with the locals; they are really proud of their beaches.

Dickenson Bay Beach is located on the Northwest portion of Antigua. The beaches on the west side have gentle waves which is great for swimming. Dickenson beach is one of the best beaches and is a very popular destination for tourists. The beach has numerous vendors and food options. Even with many tourists present, the beach is long so one can always find some minimally crowded space to enjoy.
