The blessed land of Olympia, as characterized by many, is a home to the most praised sanctuary of ancient Greece, dedicated to the father of the Gods, Zeus. It is the place where the most significant games of ancient Greece, the Olympic Games, were born, which were held every four years since 776 BC in honor of Zeus. The lighting of the Olympic flame takes place in ancient Olympia before each Olympic Game and proclaims the start of the Games. We will depart early in the morning and drive to the north side of the Peloponnese. After about 2 hours we will reach the village of ancient Olympia. You will have time to visit the archeological site where you will find the stadium, the gymnasium and temple of Zeus. Then you will visit the museum where you will admire the famous Hermes of Praxiteles. Finally you will have free time in the village for lunch and a walk.

Finally the Acropolis which is the city’s trademark and you will surely be mesmerized by its location, the majestic Parthenon, the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike and the Erechtheion. At the end of the tour you will have free time το walk on cobblestone streets between traditional shops and neoclassic houses, at the foothills of Acropolis, in Plaka.
A day full of history, culture and nature...Kalavryta!! We will get on our Van and drive to Diakofto where a trip to your dreams awaits. Boarding the scenic train, the Cog Railway, you will go up on the green slopes of Helmos, a tour described as one of the six rarer train tours in the world. You will cross the beautiful gorge of Vouraikos and after 60 minutes you will reach the beautiful village of Kalavryta. Then we will visit the monastery of Agia Lavra which was built in the 10th century and became the center of the national liberation fight of the Greek people. After that you will have free time in the village of Kalavryta for a coffee, lunch or shopping. The last stop of the tour is “Mega Spileo” (the Great Cave), one of the most famous and ancient monasteries in Greece. According to legend, in a remote cave a miraculous carved image of Holy Mary was found by chance, made of resin and wax.

We will depart early in the morning heading central Greece. After 2 hours we will reach the site of Delphi. You will have free time to visit the archaeological site, the temples and the museum with its unique findings such us "Iniohos". You will admire the grandeur of the place and you will feel the sacredness that radiates. After that, we will visit the famous and traditional village of Arachova where you will have free time for lunch of coffee. Then we will take the road back and in the afternoon we will be back to your place.
Joining our tour you will visit one of the oldest and most important cities in Greece, Corinth and an area with great history and long tradition in wine making, Nemea. By walking through the village of anc. Corinth you can get to know its long history, from the ancient times (Temple of Apollo) to the Roman times (roofed passages, public baths) and the Christian times, during which Apostle Pavlos (Saul) taught at its market. In the archaeological museum of the city will have the chance to admire interesting findings. Nemea is the largest and oldest wine region in Greece. The wines produced here are of high quality while there are some varieties which are unique in the world such as the red "Agiorgitiko" . There are dozens of wineries to visit, each with its own varieties and wine labels. We have chosen those that will offer you the best wine tasting experience and we will visit two them! Nemea is also known in mythology for Hercules who killed the vicious Lion that lived in the area and Nemean Games, dedicated to Zeus and familiar to the Olympic games. Hydra is one of the most picturesque and famous islands in Greece and the Argo-Saronic Gulf. Our cooking class will make the authentic Greek Moussaka dish and Spanakopita pie by opening your phyllo pastry (Spinach pie). We will make two classic traditional pies: Spinach pie and Milk pie. In addition to making homemade pies, we will prepare Greek island-inspired salad with cherry tomatoes aromatized with aged local vinegar and Greek yogurt tzatziki sauce. Our kitchen is a few steps from Monastiraki square in the funky neighborhood of Psirri. I'll wait for you there, on the rooftop terrace with Acropolis views. We'll start preparations and chat to break the ice and talk about Greek and Mediterranean cuisine; then, I'll show you the ingredients we'll need. Then the cooking class can begin! When we are finished, we will cook, eat, and savor our food together with amazing views of the Acropolis monuments and Parthenon temple lit at night and the vivid center of Athens overlooking the dome of Aghios Dimitrios church.
