Once an old grazing land, thankfully the Anglican church in partnership with Bangalow Land and Rivercare Group have regenerated this area with hundreds of native plant species that are really important to Bundjalung people. During the tour, Delta points out a variety of these edible bush tucker plants, as well as plants used for natural medicine, jewellery, fibre, tools and weapons. She speaks about local indigenous history and shares traditional stories that have been passed down to her from her ancestors. Under the golden hues of sunset on Byron Bay beach, a professional multi-prop fire performance ignites the senses. A Dancer wield flaming staffs, fans, and hoops in hypnotic synchronicity, their silhouette flickering against the waves. The roar of the fire blends with the ocean’s rhythm, creating a heartbeat of elemental magic. Sparks fly as the dancer spins and leap, fearless and fluid, captivating ylu with their daring grace. Each burst of flame mirrors the wild energy of the bay itself; raw, beautiful, and unforgettable. It’s not just a show; it’s a ritual of light and passion under the open, starlit sky.
