Our half-day Cruise & Lunch showcases the best of Australia’s southernmost district. Cruising on select Sunday, experience the produce, seafood and landscapes that shape this incredible region. You'll depart Brooke Street Pier on the Hobart waterfront at 10:30am. Enjoy a leisurely 90-minute cruise down the D’Entrecasteaux Channel, while taking in some of the most spectacular scenery Tasmania has to offer. Learn about the region’s history, landmarks and buildings, and spot iconic wildlife, from seals to sea eagles and perhaps even dolphins or whales. Upon arriving at Peppermint Bay in Woodbridge, take a stroll through our grounds before being treated to the best seasonal produce we can lay our hands on. The after dark feeding tour is an experience that is unique to Devils@Cradle. This tour provides an unforgettable experience, and the opportunity to observe these extraordinary animals whilst one of our keepers gives you a greater understanding of them, and details the conservation work being undertaken within the facility. Devils and quolls are primarily nocturnal species, therefore are far more active at night, and the introduction of food generally stimulates some fierce competition between them. We use environmentally sensitive lighting and focus on the social interactions and feeding habits of these unique carnivores, allowing visitors a rare up close opportunity of seeing Tasmanian devils in a group feeding situation - quite a spectacular sight!
