Launceston City Tour would begin with Swiss Village established in 1989 by Mr Vos for his wife, who loved Grindelwald Switzerland after their scenic holiday in Switzerland. And then, we head to Tamar Wetland, the unique urban wetlands reserve near Launceston. A short walk from tourist center takes you to a bird hide that you can observe wetland birds and tamar valley. Brady Lookout, the unique attraction in the Tamar Valley, is set right on the cliff edge. After lunch, we continue the trip to Cataract Gorge Reserve where has walking tacks, the world’s longest single span chairlift, a suspension bridge and panoramic lookouts with spectacular views.

After departing Launceston, you will first enjoy a short stop in the historic village of Sheffield, the Town of Murals, before continuing on to Cradle Mountain. We continue our journey into the mountains, passing through the forests, plains and highlands, to arrive at Cradle mountain and Dove Lake – the World Heritage Reserve after a 2.5 hour road journey. The after dark feeding tour is an experience that is unique to Devils@Cradle. This tour provides an unforgettable experience, and the opportunity to observe these extraordinary animals whilst one of our keepers gives you a greater understanding of them, and details the conservation work being undertaken within the facility. Devils and quolls are primarily nocturnal species, therefore are far more active at night, and the introduction of food generally stimulates some fierce competition between them. We use environmentally sensitive lighting and focus on the social interactions and feeding habits of these unique carnivores, allowing visitors a rare up close opportunity of seeing Tasmanian devils in a group feeding situation - quite a spectacular sight!
