Ostuni is one of the main tourist destinations of Puglia, called "White City" for the houses painted with white lime in the historical center. The guided tour of Ostuni will start from Libertà square, where there is the grand palace of the municipality and where stands the baroque column of Sant'Oronzo, almost 21 meters high. In Libertà Square you will also visit the archaeological excavations of the ancient walls and the defensive tower before taking Cattedrale street, full of local craft shops, commercial activities and typical local food product. You will then reach the cathedral dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta built in the fifteenth century. The façade is characterized by three elegant ogival portals and a large rose window of 24 rays. Following the tour will continue along the Aragonese walls where you can admire a beautiful landscape of the Valle d'Itria until you reach the Porta Nova gate, one of the ancient gate of the town.

We'll begin our visit of the famous Sassi, a maze of cave dwellings that cover the lower part of this incredible city, which has been named the European Capital of Culture for 2019. Matera is a city perched not only on top of these incredible cave dwellings, but also above a dramatic ravine, with sweeping views over the landscape. Although there are buildings in ruins still, the city is vibrant with life and culture as many structures have been restored into beautiful cave hotels and restaurants. The time spent in Matera will be a walking tour with stops at Museo Casa Grotta, a renovated cave with period artifacts that gives the visitor a great sense of what life was like before its citizens were relocated out of the Sassi in the 1950s. We will also visit the beautiful Chiesa di Santa Lucia & the famous Santa Maria De Idris. We enjoy 3-course lunch in a local restaurant and visit to a winery and wine tasting.

The winery visit is a sensory experience and a chance to learn about the precious grape varieties that are used to make the amazing wines of the Valle D’Itria. You’ll see the 16th century Masseria and Trulli as well as the ultra-modern winery where you can understand the processes from harvesting to production right through to bottling and dispatch. A quick visit of Locorotondo , the “the medieval round town” , then a tasty light lunch including typical food from the Farm and “Locorotondo DOC” local wine . Then, on to Alberobello. A Unesco World Heritage site since 1996, the historic centre is made up oftwo distinct regions. We’ll visit an ancient Trullo and meet a genuine local Trullo Master who willdescribe the construction techniques of the Trulli. At the end of the tour a tasting of typical “rosoli” can be sampled on a stunning panoramic terrace up amongst the cones and pinnacles of the surrounding Trulli.

My trullo is located in a dominant position in the middle of a small valley, in an area characterized by the presence of typical rural buildings, trulli, farms and cummerse. We will immerse ourselves in nature in direct contact with the old Susumaniello grape plants, discovering the history of this ancient variety. You will choose where to live this experience, between one of the stone terraces or in the shade of one of the majestic trees in my garden. You will pick up your basket, with the excellent local wine and many gastronomic delicacies of my area, tasting in total relaxation taralli, focaccia, homemade bread, dairy products and fresh cheeses, traditional cold cuts and other specialties that I will prepare just for you.
