Little Košrags was a significant economic and cultural center of the Libyan seaside: in the 19th century. the first Libyan village school operated there in the middle of the 19th century. at the end of the 20th century in the first decades, the Kine-Dīķu windmill and the Kukšu water mill operated there, and boat builders worked there. The inhabitants of the village maintained active contacts with the Estonians of Samsala until World War 1. In 1932, Didriķis Volganskis, a boat builder and Libyan cultural worker, organized the construction of a harbor in Košrag. In 1938, with the participation of D. Volganski, a pier was built for collecting muda (sea manure). The land in the seaside villages was barren - sandy, so sea manure was very useful. The collection of dung was usually in autumn, storms carried it to the seashore. The father put on his long boots, drove into the sea with a horse and cart, near the shore, and with pitchforks piled dung into a cart. When the cart was full, it was taken away and dumped on the field. And so several times," - a retired teacher from Jūrmala shares her memories.

Košrags (Libyan: Kuoštrõg) is a village in Kolka Parish, Dundaga County, on the shore of the Irbe Strait. Located between Mazirbi and Pitragsupe estuary in the sea, 17 km from the parish center Kolkas. A pier was built in Košrag in 1938 for collecting muda (sea dung). Didrikis Volganskis, a boat builder and Libyan culture worker, organized the construction of a harbor in Košrag in 1932.
