The best time to spot sting rays seems to be in the morning, while the evening is perfect for nurse sharks and sometimes sting rays. I managed to spot an Eagle Ray as well.

During our day trip from Maafushi, we had the opportunity to visit Fulidhoo. We were delighted to spot numerous stingrays near the jetty, and even encountered a few sharks. It's important to mention that this beach is not designated as a bikini beach, so it's advisable to dress appropriately when visiting this area.

This local island in Maldives is absolutely stunning. The water is so clear and the sand is pure white. The natural beauty of the island is truly breathtaking. We visited to see stingrays and also explored the area a bit. We came across some hotels and resorts. Overall, the island felt more untouched and natural compared to Maafushi.

Every day, twenty boats filled with tourists arrive to witness the stingrays. However, the population of these creatures has significantly decreased over the past year. While it may be acceptable to attract tourists to observe them, it is a completely different matter when guides explicitly permit them to touch the animals. One cannot help but wonder how the stingrays must feel in such situations. If one wishes to experience a similar sensation, they can visit the fish market, purchase a fish, and touch it as much and for as long as they desire. Unfortunately, touching these animals can harm them by introducing human bacteria onto their skin, potentially causing illness.

This beach is an ideal location for observing animals. They approach calmly and pose no threat to visitors. It's even possible to interact with them by gently touching. Occasionally, nurse sharks can be spotted, but they are completely harmless. The best way to enjoy this experience is to find a comfortable spot and observe as they gracefully move through the water.
