This resort is heavenly. A real piece of paradise. Brand new resort do everything is perfect and finished to a high degree. Food choices are good. But the snorkeling and scuba options here were terrific. Plus had a couple high profile house hold name celebrities staying along side is.

We booked one of the beach studios for a week. We booked the seaplane through the Avani+ website. When our flight landed at Male we were picked up at the airport and taken to a Avani+ lounge at the domestic airport. After a couple of hours' wait we were taken to the seaplane and flown to the resort. At the resort we were welcomed, shown around the island and then taken to our room.
The island is fairly small but never felt crowded or busy - most of the time we were either on our own, or could see a small number of other guests. There's a swimming pool that does get relatively busy - when the weather was good most of the loungers had been taken, but we grabbed a sofa instead. We did some snorkelling around the island - you can see stingrays and small sharks, as well as smaller fish. I also did 5 dives with the dive centre. The dive guides and boat crew were excellent and the diving was decent.
The staff were all generally very friendly, helpful and attentive. Wi-fi was excellent - both in the rooms and throughout the island. The resort is relatively new and feels very modern.
It was expensive, but you get what you pay for. Overall, it was a pretty amazing experience.

First and foremost I want to recognize the individuals that made the stay so much better by providing over the top notch and consistent hospitality during our stay. Riyaaz, Akram and the other bartender who’s a native to the Maldives(forgot his name) provided us with some of the best hospitality and service we’ve ever experienced. They’re the type of individuals who would make a guest want to return strictly for their services.
I’ll give the resort 5 stars because it’s new and has the potential but there is still a lot of work that needs to be done and improved.
What bothered us the most was the all inclusive stipulations and the way the Diving Center operated. Room service isn’t included in the all inclusive package so if you plan on having drinking days at your bungalow it’s not going to happen under that plan. You’ll have to pay extra and it’s not cheap. You’re limited to meals so in a sense it’s not really all inclusive. More like unlimited alcohol and 3 meals which only include buffet for lunch. And I say this to say that depending on how much you drink or eat it’s possible that opting out of all inclusive may be cheaper for you.
The Dive resort is well equipped and Emma was sweet and knowledgeable but we weren’t given many options on locations for diving or times. Seems like the dives are planned around whatever other activities are happening so you getting to dive is not really guaranteed every day. If there’s more people that want to snorkel that day they’ll do that rather than take you diving.
I would recommend this resort but would do things a bit differently if I chose to return.
