North of the Malecon with lots of palapas. Lots of room, used mostly by locals. Take Davis road (next one up from Malecon) until leaving pavement. Continue along very nice houses for a few hundred meters until you see an unmarked dirt road on your right along a wall. Easily accessible.

Sandy beach, has some pebbles but not unbearable or deterring from entering the water, you can also go in pretty far and still have the water by your thighs. No crazy waves so safe for children (still supervise them). And there are palapas available to provide shade.
