A great sandy beach with many sporting opportunities. Kayaking and stand-up paddling are at the top of the list of activities. But even a normal visit to the beach for sunbathing or a walk along the beach is a great experience on this Copacabana-like beach. On the other side of the river, also accessible by ferry boat, lies the beach of furnas. The Mira River flows into the Atlantic Ocean here. Thus, there is the possibility of bathing in relatively warm river water or in the cooler Atlantic with real surf.

This place is just fantastic shielded against the winds, as the river joints with the ocean. Very cool. Lots of parking space beach bar right there.
