Évora Evening Bites is a food and drink walk through the heart of Évora, designed for travelers who want to eat and drink like a local, not just pass through. As golden hour settles over the city, your guide leads you through Évora’s UNESCO-listed historic center, ducking into family-run tascos, wine bars, and pastelarias that most visitors never find. Across 4 carefully chosen tasting stops, you’ll try the dishes and drinks locals actually order: robust Alentejo wines, craft beers, proper Alentejo plates, the ones locals actually eat, and conventual sweets made the same way they’ve been made for centuries. History shows up along the way, but always in service of the food. Every bite has a story. Every stop is chosen for taste first. The whole experience moves to the Alentejo rhythm of vagar: unhurried, generous, and meant to be savored.
Enjoy a taxi boat to Ribeiro de Cavalo beach in just a 10-minute trip departing from the village of Sesimbra. The safest, most comfortable and fun way to discover one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal.

More than sightseeing, this is a relaxed introduction to Évora and the stories behind its culture, architecture and traditions. The tour explores landmarks from the outside and does not include paid monument entrances, making it an ideal first taste of Évora before deeper experiences. For groups of more than 4, complimentary audio headsets are provided. A local, personal and entirely English introduction to Évora.

Evora is a city that recycled its own past, and this self-guided walking tour follows that reused stone through the golden UNESCO capital of the Alentejo. A Roman temple survived five centuries walled up as a butcher's shop. A 16th-century aqueduct has whitewashed houses built into its arches. One chapel is lined with the bones of five thousand people. Everything runs from your smartphone, with no app to download: a clear map of all 10 stops, walking directions, and a short audio story at each location followed by an interactive quiz that turns the walk into a game rather than a lecture. The route covers about 2 km at an easy pace, from the Agua de Prata Aqueduct and a hidden Roman gate to the Roman Temple, the fortress cathedral, the Chapel of Bones, the palace where Vasco da Gama received his command, the old Jewish quarter and Praca do Giraldo. Start any time, pause for a coffee, pick it back up. No groups, no schedule, no physical guide. Audio and text in 7 languages.
On this tour you’ll delve into Portugal’s Neolithic period (circa 5500 to 3000 BC) and explore two of the region’s earliest and most remarkable megalithic sites: the Menir of Almendres and the Cromlech of Almendres.
