I grew up here. This is a surf spot! Waves are rough most of the time. Many drownings of visitors that don't know the dangers. Farther south on the beach is a very nice calmer shallow section suitable for kids. It is at the end of the paved road. This entire beach is also a turtle nesting area. During their nesting seasons you may come across a variety of turtles 🐢. They are federally protected species, so be aware. Very isolated, quiet, breezy and beautiful.

A nice park and beach with gazebos. Waves are rough here when I visited late December 2019, but this beach is a definitely a nice place to spend the day, and you could probably get a dip in the water if you’re an experienced careful swimmer. Gazebos are nice, bathrooms and showers were out of order when i visited. This area has lots of restaurants for food and drinks too. Photos of the beach are looking NE to S to SW

Gorgeous local beach. Rough waves, probably shouldn’t swim here. Lots of small restaurants and it can get busy around the area. No bathrooms or showers. It seems it’s a surf spot, it was very windy! I went during a kite surfing event, it was very dope to watch! :)

Great place for site seeing not a place for swimming great seafood at different​ restaurants around the local area. Also has a nice boardwalk with park for kids nearby. Beautiful location
