We were at this base on 09/15/20. The base is very old, the toilets are old and dirty, everything is covered in cobwebs and spiders, the shower is all overgrown with spiders 😖 The beach is all covered in thorns, I pricked my feet through the slates 5 times a day, my husband collected 2 times more thorns with his feet. The sea is very shallow and dirty. Within 24 hours our car had been crawled by spiders. There are so many of them... It's terribly simple. It feels like this is their base, not Cossack, but Spider 😖😖 I give a huge plus for their dogs, they are very smart and cheer up, they came to our beach several times and played. Also a plus for the beautiful view, especially the sunset is gorgeous 😌 In general, the rating is average, will we go there again? Perhaps, but not more than a day.

An old Soviet base with a large territory. We arrived for a day in July 2020. We rented a room with 4 beds, without air conditioning, the cost of the room was 1000₽, check-in time was 12.00 (we checked in at 20.00, until the next evening at 20.00, we paid an additional 500₽, which was not convenient). Of the minuses, I really remember the door lock, which is difficult to get into, so an hour out of the day was definitely spent on opening/closing the room. Showers and toilets are shared, there is no hot water in the women's shower, but there is hot water in the men's. The water stinks very much, apparently due to old pipes, which is also a disadvantage.
There are separate houses on the territory of the base.
I liked the location of the base, the house is right on the shore of the Azov Sea, next to it is a gazebo, also still Soviet, and a barbecue. For that kind of money it's basically ok. Near the base the sea is very shallow; if you go to the spit, it is a little deeper. Note: on the left side the sea is cleaner than on the right. This is our second year going and we always stop on the left. On the right there are cafes, shops, prices are reasonable. Compared to Dolzhanskaya, it takes longer to go there, prices immediately rise, and it’s still the same Taganrog Bay..
In general, if you have any doubts, I recommend going to Pavlo-Ochakovskaya. If funds allow, then there are bases for 4500₽ per day, new, not Soviet.

Here you can also stay in a room with a tent.
The room was on the second floor. Toilet and shower are shared on the floor.
The place is quiet. The windows in the room are double glazed, preventing the sound of the sea. There is air conditioning and a refrigerator. We stopped here to continue our journey further.
The sea is shallow, it's a long walk. The beach is sandy and shell.

We stayed with tents. Prices on the plinth. There are six of us, it turned out to be 100 rubles per adult, 150 per car, children are free, a total of 350 rubles per day.
