Perhaps the best beach in the area of Sevastopol and Balaklava. Firstly, because of the purity and color of the sea :) and secondly, because of the easy road to it. No steep descents, steep cliffs, thousands of steps. You arrive, park at the museum, and then calmly walk on foot for a couple of minutes. Thirdly, because of the opportunity to watch the sunset at sea!) and finally, in September there were not many people there)

The beach near the 35th battery is really cool! Yes, not a very comfortable approach to the water. Yes, pebbles, sharp stones and shells. Yes, it’s a long drive from the center... But! The purest water, a minimum of people + there are practically no thumping and homeless “organisms”!))) For a family with small children - not very good, but for a good adult company - a great choice!))

Blue Bay Beach is a coastline near Cape Chersonesos, about 300 meters long. It is located very close to the famous landmark of the hero city - the Museum Historical and Memorial Complex "35th Coastal Battery", right at the foot of the rocky foundation of this former powerful Soviet artillery fortification, a legend of the defense of Sevastopol in 1941-1942.
The white limestone shores of the bay are incredibly beautiful. They appeared as a result of erosion and weathering and resemble layer cakes. The place is very beautiful and picturesque. But it does not have a very convenient entry into the water due to large stones and rocks everywhere.
On the shore there is a cafe, several shopping tents, a diving center, and a kayak rental point. To descend to the water's edge from the rocks, special wooden stairs are provided. Part of the beach is equipped with changing cabins and dry closets. Sun loungers, deck chairs and sun umbrellas are also available for rent.
Blue Bay got its name from the color of the water, the bright turquoise hue of which does not change even in cloudy weather. Such saturation and brightness are uncharacteristic of the water surface of the Black Sea. The cleanliness and transparency are due to the rocky bottom and the constant influx of water from the open sea.
Due to “lowering” currents (which is generally typical for Sevastopol), the water temperature here, even on the hottest days, can sometimes be unpredictably low. But this goes away quite quickly, within a day or two at most. There are many fish in the water and crabs in the rocks.
To get to the Blue Bay from the Central Market of Sevastopol in Artbukhta, for example, you need to take bus 77 to the stop “35th battery” (15 km, travel time a little less than an hour, fare 20 rubles).
Then you should walk half a kilometer along the road straight to the memorial complex, but before reaching its gate about twenty meters, turn left through the bushes. And there, along the “people's path”, walk through the wasteland for another three hundred meters - along the fence of the memorial on the right along a gentle slope downwards, past the machine-gun bunker on the left - and, finally, go down to the bay and its beaches: in fact, there are two of them. One is larger, and the second (to the right, at the foot of the battery) is smaller.

I was there in October. The swimming season was already closed. The beach is pebble and clean. There are almost no people. The water is clean and slightly cool. There was a cafe and a toilet near the beach, but they were not working. Access to the beach in a wheelchair is not possible due to the lack of a ramp.
