Join us in Holyhead for an exciting full-day tour around North Wales. You’ll visit authentic medieval walled town of Conwy with its 14th century castle and quirky mix of shops and cafes plus stops in the alpine style village of Betws y Coed (the Prayer House in the Woods) and views galore in Snowdonia (now called Eryri) National Park with a final stop (time permitting) in the village with the longest railway station name in the world Llanfairpwll! Your tour starts with you being met either off the free shuttle from your ship to the main railway terminus in Holyhead or off the tender into Holyhead Marina. This is a highlights tour where your guide will introduce you to the unique Welsh language and the culture of Wales and its people along with many stories from the Welsh such as “Braveheart” to why wool was worth more than gold. Unlike other tours, we take you inside the castle and guide you round in a small group, so you get the time to ask questions and learn about this fascinating castle. We even pay your entrance fee. Stand on the spot where Princes of Wales have been crowned and even see the room where the first Prince of Wales was born. You can walk the castle walls and up to the top of the Eagle tower. Followiing the guided tour you get 30 minutes free time to either spend in the castle or in Caernarfon's excellent shops.

Our seasoned river guides will be waiting for you at the Bearded Men Adventure Hub, here you'll be kitted up in our changing rooms and given a safety brief before we drive you to the starting point at the famous Horseshoe Falls. You'll be fully guided for the duration of your River Tubing adventure by our experienced team. Once on the water and after some proof that you can float, we'll head down the twisting and winding rapids of the River Dee. There are three major rapids on our route, do not fear our guides will be on hand to steer you through them all. The most famous is Serpents Tail, a tick off for most aspiring white water enthusiasts. You'll have the option to run the same rapid twice or for the faint hearted there is always the option to avoid the rapids completely.

We start at the south end of the aqueduct and soon enough you are paddling across this famous feat of engineering which stands at an impressive 126ft above the Dee River. Although this style of canoeing is deemed a calm and peaceful session the look over the edge is a breathtaking sight, but with our staff on hand, there is nothing to worry about, especially with a safe footpath on the opposing side. After this it is then a breeze down the canal, learning and developing skills across the way with some games and challenges thrown in. Our endpoint is the Sun Trevor pub which is a great location for some good quality grub and a cold drink.
With our high-end quality equipment and training, be assured you are in very capable hands. We will teach you paddling skills and show you how to negotiate your way down the river safely. With a few raft games and challenges along the way, this experience will not disappoint. Be ready to hold on tight as we bounce through the whitewater waves, surf holes, and maybe even introduce you to a raft flip or two, safely of course. You will have fun and thrills and with our guides at the helm, it can not be any other way, we'll see you there.

Leaving from Edinburgh, we head northwest passing famous landmarks such as Linlithgow Palace: birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots, the mystical Kelpies, and the dramatically perched Stirling Castle. Continuing north we arrive in Glencoe for some photos of the dramatic ridges called the Three Sisters. We stop in the Fort William area for lunch before heading into the natural beauty of the Great Glen as we pass Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis. Heading further into the highlands we arrive in the small picturesque village of Fort Augustus - you can choose to take part in an optional boat cruise here. The road home will be time to relax and take in the Highland scenery. Final refreshment stop is at the historic town of Pitlochry before continuing the journey home over the Firth of Forth alongside UNESCO Forth Rail Bridge enroute back into Edinburgh.
