Carisbrooke Castle is a great fortress which began life as an Anglo-Saxon earthwork defence against Viking raids. The Normans raised the shell keep on its towering mound, which you can climb up for amazing views. The castle’s most famous resident was Charles I, who was imprisoned here after his Civil War defeat. You’ll find Charles I memorabilia and changing exhibitions in the Carisbrooke Castle Museum. Later, Princess Beatrice, Queen Victoria’s daughter, made Carisbrooke Castle her summer home. Admire the award-winning Edwardian-style Princess Beatrice Garden, inspired by the princess. The castle’s best-known modern residents are the much-loved Carisbrooke donkeys. They still demonstrate the treadwheel, which once raised water from the castle well. Meet them in their stables and hear their story in a film hosted by Jupiter the cartoon donkey.

Excellent location. Great entertainment..especially the Warners Theatre group Room was newly decorated clean and functional. Decent shower. Also a fridge. Food was ok, with good choices. Staff were very good and hard working. This was our first visit and once we got past the demographic...we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Also there is a great pitch and putt!!

Price includes breakfast and evening meals and entertainment. The entertainment is excellent. Rooms are clean and well maintained. There is an indoor swimming pool on site with a sauna and jacuzzi. However, the pool has a limited deep end making swimming difficult.
The grounds are very well maintained.
The site is near Yarmouth ferry port and is a great location to visit the isle of Wight.
It's adults only and caters for the over 50s.

First time staying at a Warners resort - i expected the entertainment to be good as they are renowned for this, wasn’t sure i would like the chalets, however, everything exceeded my expectations. The room was very clean and comfortable. The entertainment was great, the food was fantastic and plentiful. There were plenty of staff on hand and were all friendly. Thought it was great value for money, i would definitely recommend

We are not happy at all. From the moment we parked our car to receive our pre booked and pre paid rooms, we were accused of having not booked 1 room. In the end, reception admitted that our room was given to another person by mistake! The room my friend was given was next to smokers who smoked outside of their room. The smoke came to my friend's room, and she is hyper asthmatic! My friends had extra bonus pounds on their cards to use over the weekend to buy drinks or anything, but my friend was told he has to pay with his card or so he understood. Communication was bad. They made us look like culprits. They fixed his bill for no payment but wouldn't refund him. No apology is given to us at all! Really, this is highly unprofessional treatment towards guests. I can't ever encourage anyone to come and stay here with treatment like this... they need to upgrade booking in process and their communication skills. What safed the day is our wonderful waitress. Manyna was beautiful, swift, and approachable. She is really a good waitress and because of her service to us we would come again in high hopes to receive better service overall.

An establishment is only as good as its staff, and they are wonderful. I would single out special praise for the restaurant staff, particularly Kasia, who really looked after us with a smile and great service. The food choice was exceptional - we always prefer a buffet-style arrangement where we can mix and match. There was always a roast dinner option, aswell as themed nights. The chalet was clean and comfortable. Would recommend!
