What a stunning beach! I decided to take the bus from Paraty's central station to Vila Oratorio, and from there, the hike began. The signs were clear, and after about an hour of walking, I reached Praia do Sono. Although the path was hot and undulating, it was well worth the effort. I must admit that some parts of the trail were slippery, and I was warned to be cautious of snakes, spiders, and scorpions. I even came across a dead snake on the path.
I stopped for lunch at the only open restaurant, and it was surprisingly delicious. I suspect that the low season might have something to do with the limited options, but there are plenty of bars and restaurants along the shore during peak season. There are also camping sites available, which is an excellent choice for those who want to stay longer and explore nearby beaches. The only thing that's truly incomparable is the amount of people crammed onto the sand like sardines in a can. And don't even get me started on the "peace" - the constant chatter and screaming of children in the Christmas pool is enough to make you want to jump ship. Sure, the water may be in shades of blue and green, but it's not like you can even enjoy it with all the crowds. And let's not forget the hassle of getting there - a trail or boat ride that's not even worth the effort. Save yourself the trouble and skip this overrated beach altogether.

While the beach offers a small structure with a restaurant run by locals, serving simple yet delicious homemade food, it is primarily a destination for those seeking a more rustic and tranquil experience.
