Upon arriving at the beach on a Tuesday afternoon in February 2020, we were greeted by a desolate landscape devoid of any other human presence. It was a stark reminder that even the most beautiful of places can be deserted and forgotten. The water was, however, a redeeming quality, with small yet forceful waves that provided some entertainment. Across the sand road from the beach, a sprawling abandoned resort loomed, a testament to the fleeting nature of tourism. The sound of kids on mopeds racing up the paths was the only other sign of life. As we approached the open-air restaurant on the beach, el Furgón, the smell of fried whole fish and rice and beans wafted through the air. Although it looked tempting, we had just eaten and decided to pass. The restaurant is open from around 1030am until evening, catering to the few visitors who dare venture to this forgotten beach.

This charming little beach is adorned with stunning trees that provide natural shade, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere. The beach is bustling with people who are all enjoying the gorgeous weather and the delightful scenery.
