海水干净清澈,而且人流较少。说实话,我更喜欢这个海滩,胜过阿吉亚玛丽娜和马塔松纳。
I honestly do not understand all the negative comments that have been posted for this beach. Perhaps they were posted following visits under different circumstances to mine. I visited the beach on the second half of August 2023. The beach is very clean and has a beach bar that offers sunbeds and umbrellas at a cost of 15 euro per pair, for as long as one stays on the beach. Coffee prices are around 4 euro/cup. The staff are very courteous and friendly. Music is being played but at a very discreet volume. Definitely not your typical beach bar where one cannot hear one's self think! In addition, this is the only place I saw where the staff actually wipe down the sunbeds as soon as they are vacated. I arrived realtively early (~09:30 AM) and it was clear to me that the beach had been meticulously combed for debris etc. Not a single item of garbage was to be seen. The staff kept coming around to collect empty single-use containers and put them in tne recycling bin. Most importantly, the beach offers access for handicapped people to the sea. There is a special motorised ramp that leads to the sea (see photos), a changing room and toilet that are wheelchair-accessible and open showers for handicapped people. The sea itself is sandy and shallow, making ideal for families with children or people with motor disabilities. The beach is easily accesible from the road and there is a substantial parking space.
Update August 2024: My previous comments still hold but there is now a watersports enterprise that operates on the beach and their boats come dangerously close to the swimmers. As I wrote before, the sea is quite shallow and if one wants to swim in deeper water, one is placed in the path of the operating speed boats. I no longer feel comfortable going for a swim in Agios Vasilios. I thus reduced my rating from 5 stars to 4.
