Very disappointing experience at La Scala Thassos
Unfortunately, my experience with the staff at La Scala Thassos was extremely disappointing.
When I arrived, I was welcomed by another member of staff who kindly offered me a sunbed. I settled down, and approximately 10 minutes later, this blonde staff member approached me, accompanied by other clients, and told me that I had to leave the sunbed because there was a waiting list.
I completely understand that sunbeds may be subject to availability and that a waiting list can exist. However, the problem is that I was given the sunbed by a member of their own staff in the first place. If there was a waiting list, this should have been communicated before I was allowed to take the sunbed.
What made the situation particularly unpleasant was the way it was handled — I was asked to leave after already being settled, in front of other customers, as though I had taken something I wasn’t entitled to.
A professional establishment should have clear communication between its staff and, most importantly, treat customers with courtesy and respect. If there are specific rules regarding sunbeds, they should be explained consistently to everyone from the beginning.
Sadly, this experience completely changed my impression of La Scala Thassos. Good location and atmosphere mean very little when the customer service is handled this poorly. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves communication and staff coordination.
