Lo So Shing Beach, hidden away on the west coast of Lamma Island, is a true gem. With its long stretch of sand and tree-fringed stairs, this beach is far enough from civilization to avoid the crowds, yet still offers basic services like lifeguards and bathrooms. Accessible by foot, it takes a 15-minute detour from the Family Trail to reach this relatively empty beach.
As you make your way down to the beach, you'll pass by a few vendors selling essentials like water, beer, and sunscreen. Once you arrive, you'll find a clean and well-maintained beach, regularly achieving the highest rating from the city's Environmental Protection Department. The water is confined by a shark net, making it safe for swimming, and there are even lifeguards on duty during set hours.
While there aren't many restaurants or bars on this isolated strip, you'll find barbecue pits, showers, and a few vendors renting out paddle boards and rafts.
