I frequently bring my horses to Colac Bay. The sea views are often spectacular, but it's not safe to swim due to the steep, soft gravel bank and undertow. It may be okay to swim at low tide or for experienced swimmers. The locals don't usually surf here because the waves aren't ideal. The beach has beautiful little "fish tank" stones and magnificent sunsets. Unfortunately, some people park on the gravel and get stuck just to save a short walk. Kids enjoy playing in the soft gravel and exploring rocks at the East end of the beach.
