Playa El Hornillo is nestled in a special cove, with houses on the hills surrounding it. Parking is usually available, though you might need to make your way up a hill to leave. Snorkelling is possible, but the signs warn of the danger of landslides. The water is usually crystal clear, even when there are waves. There is also a beach bar and first-aid station, making it an ideal spot to spend the day with family.
The beach was a sight to behold - white sand, crystal-clear water. It seemed like an ideal spot for kids to play, but the reality was far less idyllic. The sand was too hot, the water too shallow, and the sun too unforgiving. All in all, it was a disappointment.
