A great spot to visit year-round, even in the winter months. It's especially lovely in the summer since there are fewer people and you can set up close to the water. Parking is also very affordable, costing only a few euros. This beach is definitely worth a visit!

It is a well-developed area, with access facilities, a walkway and a few old relics, such as La Torre de la Higuera, a 16th century lighthouse. Unfortunately, it is in ruins due to the devastating effects of the 1755 Lisbon earthquake tsunami.

I had a peaceful morning at the beach, just me, my sun cream, towel and a bottle of water - and my phone, of course! I saw a few other people, like a dog walker, a motorcyclist, and some guys in a Jeep, although I didn't know vehicles were allowed on the beach. The Jeep got stuck in the sand, but I was able to help them out. Later, I witnessed a strange incident, where an elderly dog walker was verbally and physically assaulting a woman and her dog. I ran over and the man stopped, but the woman was still shaken. I had a great morning and was sorry to leave, but when I returned to my hire car, I found that someone had broken the window. Thankfully, nothing was taken, but it will cost me the price of my holiday to get it fixed. Thanks to the would-be thieves!

It is a beautiful and clean beach, with fine white sand, as well as being a quiet place to spend the day with friends. The water was not very cold and there is cheap parking near the beach to leave your cars since to find parking you have to arrive early. I recommend trying it.
