Visiting the beach next to Las Salinas is an experience to be remembered. It has a wild point, but with a promenade, beach bar and picnic area. It's important to look at the tides in advance to make sure you don't end up stuck with only a rocky area. The beach boasts a stunning natural charm with jagged rocks behind it and mini cliffs on the sides. When the tide goes out, there's plenty of space with dark but good sand. The promenade is great for long walks and admiring the beach and coast. There's a spacious and well-kept meadow with benches and tables to relax and eat. The beach also has a chiringuito with many tables, good prices and a great atmosphere. You can also explore the route that skirts the coast to the west. Playa de Poniente is really something special, but the left side can be pretty windy, causing sand to blow around.

That place is the perfect destination for those seeking a relaxing escape. The sand is especially inviting when the low tide falls during the day's central hours, as it did when the photos were taken. In this case, the beach stretches 800 meters long, when Xivares Beach meets Peña María (also known as Xivares 2). The length is considerably reduced when the high tide arrives. As for amenities, the beach offers showers, rescue services, toilets, plenty of parking (for a small fee of €2.40), and several beach bars. There is also a recreational area for those who want to spend a few hours here. Lastly, visitors can take a stroll through the area on the green path.

Playa del Rinconín or El Cervigón, is, as its name indicates, the eastern corner of San Lorenzo, a small cove of sand and rock located at the end of the sandy area of San Lorenzo beach. It denotes a high influx of public and is well equipped.
Made up of rocks and dark sand, swimming with caution is recommended.
Here you can practice sports such as hiking, underwater fishing, surfing, bodyboarding, longboarding and paddlesurfing.
The 9.3-kilometer El Rinconín-La Ñora trail, suitable for hiking and cycling, begins here.
In its vicinity is the sculpture 'Mother of the Emigrant' (La Lloca) and from its surroundings you can see spectacular views of the Gijón coast, with the bay of San Lorenzo being the main protagonist.

This spot is worth a visit out of curiosity to see its isolated and wild cove, especially at low tide. Although, fishermen have set up an illegal stall to store their things. It's worth noting that almost all the photos of this beach online are from neighboring Serin, or even Playa de Estaño, the beach to the east. The Gijon City Council is doing the right thing by letting nature take its course, destroying an access that should never have been made, and allowing the beach to remain wild as it was 30 years ago. Furthermore, there are frequent landslides, making it a dangerous place to visit. Additionally, the beach has gray sand with pebbles.

We had the luckiest of days when we visited the beach in mid October. The sun was shining brightly, the sea was tranquil and warm, and there were hardly any people around - it was truly a beautiful sight! We were so fortunate to have such a perfect day, though I'm sure not all days in October are like this.

This spot is worth a visit out of curiosity to see its isolated and wild cove, especially at low tide. Although, fishermen have set up an illegal stall to store their things. It's worth noting that almost all the photos of this beach online are from neighboring Serin, or even Playa de Estaño, the beach to the east. The Gijon City Council is doing the right thing by letting nature take its course, destroying an access that should never have been made, and allowing the beach to remain wild as it was 30 years ago. Furthermore, there are frequent landslides, making it a dangerous place to visit. Additionally, the beach has gray sand with pebbles.
