Absolutely gorgeous black sand beach with great facilities like showers rest-/changing rooms and lockers. Lots of shade underneath tamarisk trees and well kept benches. Lifeguard station and the nearby natural pools are among the best I ever visited. The whole alcala beach area is totally inviting and perfect for a relaxing day on the beach taking a swim or go snorkeling.

Though it can be quite touristy, but it is the best beach in Tenerife as the sand is soft. Plus, the sunset views are amazing. There are parking spaces around but fills up easily. Would definitely recommend this beach if you are in the area to see Los Gigantes!

Beautiful beach with quite small black pebbles/sand. There are just a few sunbeds and umbrellas, therefore fewer visitors than on the surrounding beaches. There is enough space to lie down, but this is needed as the water covers most of the beach during high tide waves. Very clean beach and water. Water is very calm and suitable for swimming. Unfortunately no toilets but there are toilets on the adjacent Playa del Duque beach, which can be reached in about 10 minutes on foot. It's nice and quiet on the beach, as there is no beach club and therefore no music is playing. We come to this beach regularly and like it very much!

Playa El Veril is a stunning beach with a great selection of amenities nearby. The black volcanic sand is kept in impeccable condition, making it a great spot for people of all ages. There's a shower, as well as hotels, bars, and restaurants. You can also find free parking and a supermarket not too far away.

Playa Los Gigantes is a decent beach, located super close to the promenade and the town center, so it’s really convenient to get to. The best part is definitely the view of the Los Gigantes cliffs – it’s a great spot for photos.
The beach itself is okay but not amazing. It has black sand and bigger pebbles in the water, which can be uncomfortable to walk on. Also, because it faces west, it doesn’t get much sun during the earlier part of the day.
It’s a nice place to visit for the views and maybe a quick swim, but probably not the best choice for spending the whole day at the beach.

This natural pool is in a great location, but there are several issues that need to be addressed. Firstly, the pool is dirty and the water is green instead of the expected blue, indicating that it isn't being refreshed frequently. Secondly, be cautious when entering the water as the rocks are not cleaned and can be extremely slippery. Parking in the surrounding area can be a nightmare. Additionally, there is no shade available for those sensitive to the sun (luckily, I'm not). Lastly, there isn't a single shop nearby to buy food, so come prepared!

This location is a great spot for a peaceful day out. It has soft, sandy shores and plenty of amenities, including a lifeguard on duty. There are also restaurants nearby, making it easy to grab a bite to eat. Best of all, it has steps leading up to a stunning cliff walk towards Abama, with amazing views - especially at sunset. Plus, it's easily accessible, making it a great choice for a beach day out.

Absolutely gorgeous black sand beach with great facilities like showers rest-/changing rooms and lockers. Lots of shade underneath tamarisk trees and well kept benches. Lifeguard station and the nearby natural pools are among the best I ever visited. The whole alcala beach area is totally inviting and perfect for a relaxing day on the beach taking a swim or go snorkeling.

If you have never been to an island in the ocean, you must visit this place to witness the power of the waves crashing against the rocks. The view is phenomenal and it is a picturesque spot for watching the sunset. What's more, entry to the beach is free and open to the public.

When you want to head south, take this tranquil path and enjoy the ocean - you can find crabs hiding amongst the rocks, small fish in the water, and lizards on the road. It's an easy-to-access path, perfect for a jog, romantic stroll, or a walk to the next village - and without having to climb any hills!

Playa Los Gigantes is a decent beach, located super close to the promenade and the town center, so it’s really convenient to get to. The best part is definitely the view of the Los Gigantes cliffs – it’s a great spot for photos.
The beach itself is okay but not amazing. It has black sand and bigger pebbles in the water, which can be uncomfortable to walk on. Also, because it faces west, it doesn’t get much sun during the earlier part of the day.
It’s a nice place to visit for the views and maybe a quick swim, but probably not the best choice for spending the whole day at the beach.

Though it can be quite touristy, but it is the best beach in Tenerife as the sand is soft. Plus, the sunset views are amazing. There are parking spaces around but fills up easily. Would definitely recommend this beach if you are in the area to see Los Gigantes!
