Tucked away in a seemingly dilapidated area that has seen better days, this hidden gem is definitely worth the journey. The rough exterior hides a stunning cove that is nothing short of breathtaking. The sun traps carved into the weathered cliff face by the elements offer a perfect spot to relax and soak up the rays.
The sea here is amazing, with water clarity that is perfect for observing the vibrant marine life beneath the surface. As an added bonus, there's a small beach bar at the top serving cheap drinks and playing reggae music, which adds to the wonderfully chilled vibe.
This place is truly a diamond in the rough, and well worth the visit.

That place in Las Américas is truly a sight to behold. Its black volcanic sand is immaculately clean and there are showers available for visitors to use. It's no wonder that this beach is one of the best in the area - you won't find a better spot to relax and take in the stunning views. #tenerifewhereelse.

Sun beds are reasonably priced at €6 for the day, and it's not too crowded, even in the peak of summer. The only downside is the vendors who can be quite persistent. It's also worth noting that the beach is frequented by nudists.

San Miguel de Abona located in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. A popular tourist destination. You can spend a comfortable time on the beach. It is uncrowded and you have easy access to the coastline. Your stay is away from the beach giving you a peaceful time. There is public transport available if you are further than walking distance from the beach.

Spectacular views on a couple of landmarks and also the airport. Parking is ok but be aware that it is a rough dirt strip. Still a good walk until the shoreline. The beach is always pretty frequented but ample space to find a free spot. There’s a life guard station and the sand is soft going into the water.

Hidden Gem: A Diamond in the Rough
Tucked away in a seemingly dilapidated area that has seen better days, this hidden gem is definitely worth the journey. The rough exterior hides a stunning cove that is nothing short of breathtaking. The sun traps carved into the weathered cliff face by the elements offer a perfect spot to relax and soak up the rays.
The sea here is amazing, with water clarity that is perfect for observing the vibrant marine life beneath the surface. As an added bonus, there's a small beach bar at the top serving cheap drinks and playing reggae music, which adds to the wonderfully chilled vibe.
This place is truly a diamond in the rough, and well worth the visit.
