Nice sand. The area was surprisingly clean. A favorite place not only for tourists but also for locals. There are showers and public toilet on the beach (the toilet has poor ventilation, I would avoid it)... There are many hotels and small bars and restaurants in the streets by the beach.

The beach in Mataró used to be the best around, but now it's not worth visiting. The only area that is kept clean is the dog zone. Everywhere else is littered with plastic, cans, reeds, and black algae. It's so bad that I stopped coming here altogether, as every time I did, I had to spend hours cleaning up the mess. I've even considered asking the council to pay me for my efforts!
