But if you're looking for a warm day, you're better off avoiding it: the Atlantic waters are ice-cold. The sand is a pale yellow, but don't expect to go rock-pooling - it's all sand. The waters are not too cold and, as is the case with most beaches around here, the size of the beach is reduced significantly due to the rising tide at 6:00 pm. However, the beach is well-managed and safety distances are maintained. There are also lifeguard services, a doctor, showers, a hotel and a restaurant. All in all, it was a great discovery. The only downside is that two dead seagulls were found on the shore, but I would still return. Highly recommended.
