The sunset at Canaval Beach is simply breathtaking. The view of the cove in the foreground, the Ria de La Coruna in the second, and the Tower of Hercules on the horizon is truly magical when the sky takes on its orange hues. about 200 meters wide and shaped like a scallop, with its foot turned towards La Coruña. At low tide, the main beach is 80 meters long and 40 meters wide, and there are two smaller coves on either side. We read that the beach is a naturist beach, but during our visit, only one person was not wearing a swimsuit. safe for swimming, as it slopes gradually into the sea, and there is no risk for children. However, there can be a lot of seaweed in the water, so we had to clear a path for a good fifteen meters so we could swim without any obstruction. When the tide is high, the main beach is cut

The beaches of this area aren't my favorite, but I must admit it's quite charming. The rafts can make it look a bit unsightly, but it's great for a peaceful swim. It's a popular spot for locals, and it's pleasant to be there. The sea is calm, resembling a raft, and the water is crystal clear. There's some algae, but nothing too concerning. The beach next door, San Pedro, is even more beautiful. Plus, it has golden sand - making it even more inviting!

This secluded beach is a bit tricky to find, but it's definitely worth the effort. The path leading up to the beach is paved, except for the last few yards and the parking area. The lot isn't huge, but there are stairs leading down to the beach that are a bit steep but not too difficult to navigate. The scenery is stunning, with white sand that's soft until you reach the water, and pebbles, too. The waters are calm and there are plenty of trees and vegetation to provide shade. There are no showers, services, or lifeguards, but there is a garbage container at the top of the beach. And, dogs are welcome!
